Scoopwatbuzzgallry is run by Scoopwatbuzzgallry Studio Ltd, a London-based team of beauty writers and editors. We've spent years at counters, backstage and in our own bathrooms finding out that the right foundation depends less on the brand than on the format.

What we won't do
We don't sell products, accept paid placements, use affiliate links or let brands review copy. We aren't affiliated with any cosmetics company or retailer. Brand names appear only as historical or factual reference points.

Not a clinic
We're not dermatologists. Our guides are general information about cosmetic formats. For persistent irritation, allergies or skin conditions, speak to a pharmacist, GP or dermatologist.
our method
How every shade gets tested
- Same four labels. Each format is described on coverage, finish, wear and skin fit, so pages compare like for like.
- Daylight first. Swatches are judged by a north-facing window, then again under warm indoor light.
- Time matters. We check at fifteen minutes, at midday and at the end of the day before writing a verdict.
- Sources checked. Dates, standards and regulations, such as EU Regulation 1223/2009, MoCRA and ISO 24444, are checked against primary or official sources.
- Reviewed yearly. Every page is re-read at least once a year and dated when it changes.
Corrections
If you spot an error, tell us through the note tool or at [email protected]. We correct factual mistakes promptly and note significant changes at the foot of the affected page.
