What we collect
- Emails you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, name if given, and the content of your message.
- Technical logs. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) for security and reliability.
- The note tool. The swatch note tool on notes.html runs entirely in your browser. What you type is not sent to us or stored on our servers.
We do not run accounts, sell products, or knowingly collect data from children.
Why and on what basis
We use email correspondence to reply to you and improve our guides (legitimate interests). We use server logs to keep the site secure and working (legitimate interests). Where consent is required, for example for non-essential cookies, we ask first.
How long we keep it
Correspondence is kept for up to 24 months, then deleted unless an ongoing conversation requires it. Server logs are kept for up to 30 days.
Sharing
We don't sell or rent personal data. We share it only with service providers who host the site or our email, under contracts that require them to protect it, or where the law requires.
Your rights
